Thanks to enormous improvements in cataract surgery in the last decade, most patients have a much reduced dependence on glasses after cataract surgery.
For some, however, variations in the healing of the cornea and lens capsule can lead to dependency on spectacles. Bioptics uses the Excimer Laser to eliminate residual refractive error after cataracts are removed.
The result is now spectacle free vision in almost all cataract patients.
